A Quick Note on Dramatica's help...

My analysis of The Hurt Locker was greatly assisted by my burgeoning knowledge of The Dramatica Theory of Story.  I highly recommend checking out the site, www.Dramatica.com, Jim Hull's site, www.narrativefirst.com, and Melanie Anne Philips and Chris Huntley's theory book.

I was able to pinpoint the function of scenes in a greater story context and identify why the story felt the way it did.  I also feel that I could suggest and make improvements on the story if I were asked to.

NOT something I feel I could've spoken intelligently to before.  Sure, I could give my opinions, but if asked how to change it, I would've just had to guess.  Dramatica gives me structure, which gives me a greater understanding.
